Welcome to the Personal Lines Interest Group website. If this is your first visit, I hope you spend the time to see everything we have to offer. We strive to ensure this website provides an added value to benefit each of us as fellow CPCU's.
The Personal Lines Interest Group is one of 14 interest groups within the CPCU Society. We are a unique interest group as our membership and executive committee includes professionals in Claims, Underwriting, Research, Product Management, Product Development, Sales and Marketing, Agents, Analysts and Actuarial experts among others who specialize in Personal Lines. Through this website, Society Annual Meetings and Seminars, Leadership Summits, webinars or other educational symposia sponsored by interest groups, we are given the opportunity to service and support a network of CPCU’s working in personal insurance, discuss current issues and concerns, share successes and ideas, discover new ways to apply knowledge, and find outlets for creativity and growth.
Recently discussed topics sponsored by the Personal Lines Interest Group members include Market Availability and Government Regulation, Predictive Modeling, Technology in Personal Lines, Hawaiian Hurricanes, Diminished Value, Identity Theft, Senior Driving, Fraud in Personal Insurance, Insurance-to-Value (ITV), Insurance Education - Why this has to happen at claim time?, Credit-Based Insurance Scoring, Road Rage, Underwriting via the Internet, Loss Cost Justification, and Information Privacy. We continue to look for current topics affecting the personal lines insurance industry in an effort to foster education and increase the expertise of the insurance professional. Our Interest Group also publishes a quarterly newsletter, “Personally Speaking.”
Whether you are a visitor or an existing member of the Personal Lines Interest Group, there's a lot more to this than meets the eye. Just ask any of your peers who have been a part of this group! We thank all our members for their involvement and solicit them to actively use the discussion boards, attend our networking/educational events and find new ways to make this a personally enriching and career enhancing experience for each of us in the insurance community.
Thank you for your continued support!
